Tonight my husband and I visited your restaurant for the first time. (We talked with Polly a bit. We were the couple that had lived in Austin a while, my husband had grown up in New Orleans, and I went to Rice University.)

I just wanted to thank you again for the experience. The food was incredible! I noticed so many extra touches. The Shiner Bock picture, the Orange Crush, the blue bonnets at Brenham, even the way the jalapenos, onions etc. were available as extras. I said to my husband, "All this place needs is Stevie Ray Vaughn's picture on the wall." He pointed and said, "Like that one?" Later I said, "Do you think they have toothpicks to shake out of a hot sauce bottle?" Lo and behold, we saw it on our way out!

I'm just sorry we didn't know about you sooner. I saw an article in the Statesman about you this past week and while I was hopeful, BBQ in Idaho just hasn't met my expectations in the last seven years. You definitely measure up to the best of what Houston, Austin, and San Antonio have to offer.
